About The ERDS Foundation®
A group of field biologist, having years of experience of
working on community focused conservation approaches at a landscape level,
for conservation of Indian Wildlife.
Current Focus
State Bird of Rajasthan "Great Indian Bustard or Godawan" is facing current extinction risk with just 150 adult birds (as per WII estimation in 2018) world over. Whereas State Animal of Rajasthan "Indian Gazelle of Chinkara" is facing conservation apathy, no proper conservation policy or program, whereas highest poached wildlife species in western Rajasthan, found largely outside protected areas and more than 85% world population resides in Western Rajasthan (Dookia, 2006).
The Current focus of The ERDS Foundation® is Conservation through Community Participation as a flagship program in Western Rajasthan. All the cohabitants of #GIB and #Chinkara are brought together in a species level conservation program. Since GIB is using around 90% of the community dominated landscape, like agriculture fields, revenue lands, village pasture lands as well as centuries old sacred grooves or Orans in Western Rajasthan, same is also true for Chinkara.

Our approach is simple,
to handhold the local communities, we work in a balanced fine tandem with varieties of stakeholders from
advocacy to anti-poaching.
